New to GW - Looking for suggestions of newb guides, etc
Hey everyone. Completely new to the world of Guild Wars and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any newbie guides or just basic information about the game. I've gone through the manual and a few random guides on the net but I'm looking for more suggestions. No one I know has ever played this game so I have no one to bug for questions
Any links or references will be appreciated and you've my thanks in advance - Jorlen |

Eya, welcome to the game, and Guru!
In my experience, if you can't find your answer on one of the wiki's, you can definitely find it here on Guru. Just roam a bit on this forum, get acquainted with its structure and read the stickies (like this one in Q&A). The Hall of Knowledge has all the questions about the different Professions, as well as about every separate campaign. If you got any questions, just vent them here. Some people will yell at you because you didn't use the search function, but just ignore those. We all have been beginners at one point. Good luck and happy gaming! |

Welcome to Guild Wars Guru
The best thing is to go and play the game. GW is great in that there really isn't anything you can do to totally screw your character for the future (as in many mmorpgs). Find a good guild with experienced players that will answer questions. Play the game and when you come across something that you don't comprehend look it up on one of the 2 wikis... both of them are excellent aids. Most importantly, Have Fun! |
